I PUT HIM THERE
In 1972, after years of intensive study on the Las Vega Strip, architect and educator Denise Scott Brown co-authored the influential work Learning from Las Vegas, a foundational book on Las Vegas’ meaning to the world. The book immediately caused a stir and inspired an entire generation of architects, yet Scott Brown found herself excluded from much of the recognition. Instead, her collaborator and husband, Robert Venturi, took the spotlight. In this segment produced with Claire Mullen, writer and anthropologist Elizabeth Greenspan sits down with Scott Brown to examine her work and legacy.
